This is the day of many blogs. I went to the mariners game yesterday. It was the last one of the season and possible Edgar's last game ever so I thought a good ode to the 2003 season was due.


Ode to the the 2003 season

Oh mariners how I miss you
what a season it has been
of course you collapsed at the end
but that hardly is a sin

Cirillo never got
a hit in front of me
but Guillen got his job
So I had victory

Twenty thousand he now owes
for that stupid bet he made
He thought he could hit .280
and for that he has paid

Edgar may be with them no longer
It could be a real tragedy
For they won't be right without him
But I guess we shall wait to see

The Tigers this season
Were really really bad
However they didn't set the record
which kind of makes me sad

The A's were swept last week
21 wins for Jamie
So my mariners at least
went out with victory

So here's a toast to baseball
As we set into the fall
till April I must wait
And I will surely miss you all
