Has anyone who reads this blog ever assumed I was a band nerd in high school? Everyone here, I mean everyone, has been assuming that. I really don't know how to take that...

Ok so Wednesdays have yet again turned out to be the best days. Today we went to Fountainbleu and Vaux-le-Vicompte. Very cool. We ended up taking a tour bus which a striking majority of us were morally against. I got really worried when the lady talking into the microphone on the bus said: "Paris has other transportation systems like the Metro." No way! Are you serious? No more three hour walks for me... I became most worried when she said: "France had many kings up till the revolution." Oh so that's what all those palaces were for. I thought they were always museums... Quite worrisome.

It turns out though that the tour guide lady who didn't speak any English was actually quite knowledgeable so when she took those of us who wanted the tour in French through the palaces, we learned quite a bit. So the trick is: If you are going to actually take a guided tour, take one in French.

I'd like to comment about the Fountainebleu Palace's security. It was a little worrisome since I, out of all of the people in this world, was able to break in.

Yes you read that right. A few of us got a little separated from the rest of the group outside and eventually found them all inside looking at us through the window. The base of the window was at my shoulders but I figured when my professor whispered to me to "sautez" (jump) I better give it a try. Using the uneven cut of the stones I easily climbed my way in. No wonder these French keep getting invaded... They couldn't even protect their kings correctly...

Anyway, that's all for today. Hope all is going well back on that side of the world!
