An ode to Kelsea if you will...

One day long ago last fall
You made me make this site
and now I truly attempt
to update it every night

Well maybe thats not quite true
I do sometimes lie
But thanks to you I do update
When I have the will to try

You came into this world
Twenty years ago this day
Of course I was not yet here
So I really cannot say

What it was like so long ago
Back in 1983
But I imagine it got a good deal better
When you came to be

Now I am getting rather sappy
So I really must move on
And continue to the next part
Of this little Kelsea song

One day you came to Skyline
Traumatic it must have been
But then you met Michelle
Wow you really can't seem to win

Sorry for the insult
To Michelle that friend of mine
You see sometimes I find it difficult
To come up with a good rhyme

10th grade was not a good year
For you I would think
Cuz that year you met me
And then everything started to sink

However I truly benefited
From a friend who stuck around
Who defended me in the hard times
And never let me down

And now you are very old
No longer just a teen
And have accomplished many things
That you never would have seen

I think of a certain great work
A grand scitasy if you will
It involves lots of fancy names
Which I find to be a skill

And then you know almost everything
About the Lord of the Rings
You even understand the songs
That the hobbit Bilbo sings

And then there are the PD books
which I am ashamed to have read
However I was greatly amused
But their names are never to be said

For that would be embarrassing
If only just a bit
But then again I am me
And embarrassment tends to fit

And now you are twenty
Twenty-one you soon will be
A year from now I see you at bars
with Lisa and Bethany

Cuz sadly I am too young
And Michelle does not drink
Of course Bethany doesn't either
But I lost the skill to think

It left with my headaches
To the doctor I went today
However with the trauma
I forgot your birthday

I hope you can forgive me
That it slipped my mind this day
I remembered it up till now
But I have nothing more to say

Except that you are awesome
A true friend of mine
And I certainly hope to see
many more years of a great time
