Ok so I actually take a few days to update after my trip but apparently that isn't allowed... really... Ok I guess I complain about people not updating as much as anyone so here is your precious update.
Went to CA
it was good
does that work?
no?
hmmmm...
Ok I guess I can write more. So yeah we all drove down to CA and sadly I did not meet the future Mr. Whitehead (I am a modern woman) or get offered that movie deal I was expecting. But hey we went to disneyland and such. Rode the Indiana Jones ride seven times, Pirates six times and California Screamin 5 or 5 times (bad memory). We rode that water ride in California adventure five times and Matt got the wettest each time and may be planning to sue the ride designers. We also played that Millionaire thing there and Lisa actually got in the hot seat... and missed the first question... how sad is that? (ok lying there - she got past the $1000 question...)
This all was fun of course but unfortunately I have a very legitimate complaint. When we arrive at disneyland we discover that the rides closed are: Thunder Mountain (no duh), Space Mountain (rude!), Haunted Mansion (haven't riden that one since I was nine... ), and Splash Mountain. Let me get something straight. You can take Thunder Mountain from me... ok understandable. You can take the Haunted Mansion from me... though this closing it thing is not making a very good ad for the movie. You can even take Space Mountain from me.... and thats hard to do. But if you dare take Splash Mountain from me somebody is going to hear about it. Thats right. Shocked and appalled by the closing of Splash Mountain, I secretely climbed the fences blocking it off and tried to ride it anyway. Unfortunately it didn't work very well since there was no water and the logs wouldn't move and kept making this disturbing scrapping sound. So I decided to walk through it... this didn't work to well since all of the little animal things were turned off and there was no music and such. Also when it came to that drop it kind of hurt. Its ok though... the wheelchair and I are learning to function together.
Anyway, the next day, Alden joined up with us and the four of us went to Hollywood. This guy walked up to us on the street there and asked us if we wanted to go sit in the audience for Jimmy Kimmel live. This sounded cool to us so we did. It was quite amusing yet also slightly disturbing, but enough of that.
The next day Alden got in trouble and was grounded so Matt, Lisa and I went and walked around Santa Monica beach, which was neat except for red water. I decided to not ask...
So the reason I hadn't updated my blog yet was cuz I was supposed to get a new computer yesterday and I wanted to update it on the new machine. No there is no reason for that but I am really really excited. Unfortunately it didn't arrive yesterday so it is to be expected today or tomorrow. I will be sure to blog then and brag uncontrollably about it.
So I think that is everything... yes I do believe it is... Ta ta!
