Rachel has ruined my life.

It all started when she said to me over a month ago "Hey Julia play this cool game on my cell phone!"

They call it Bejeweled.

Well I thought what's the harm? I mean it's not like my out of date cell phone can carry that game anyway...

Until...

I was on my yahoo page and an advertisement flashed before my eyes:

Let me explain to you all the problem with this.

I have an addiction problem - specifically to games involving colored blocks.

In high school it was Tetris - it's disturbing how good I am at that.

Freshman year in college it was snood - I ruled!

Over the years I've learned some self control and never let these games appear on my desktop. But last night I had a relapse. :(

It's really quite a shame because I signed a lease for my very own apartment on Saturday (it's 2 buildings away from my dad's old place). However I am never going to really enjoy it because with the playing of Bejeweled 24/7 I might as well be living in a broom closet with my computer.

It's also quite a shame because it means my poor deformed eyes are only going to get worse. I'll be updating more on that front though in approximately 2 weeks.

Yes that's right folks - no good can come from this. My social life will collapse. I'll lose my job for playing it too much (and certainly not updating my blog during business hours). I'll probably gain a lot of weight too due to the lack of exercise (versus now).

Oh and let's not even get started on that novel I'm writing, because let's face it - I'm never going to finish it spending all of my time making colored shapes disappear.

And that, my friends, is how Rachel has ruined my life.
