What a difference a week makes...
2 weeks ago I was averaging 120 emails in my inbox. Now I am averaging 9... And you all were wondering why I never had time update - I didn't have time to think!
Not to say that I haven't been busy - I still have the random interns that feel it is their personal obligation to inform me that I am the worst relocation specialist in the world. But I am getting better at ignoring them and laughing at them with my coworkers.
One of them did make me feel terrible yesterday though - and, as always, it wasn't my fault. We simply ran out of his preferred housing. He absolutely had to have a studio apartment because he couldn't possible have roommates.
Believe me, after suffering through several phone calls with him I agree. He can't have roommates - no one should have to deal with him.
Oh the drama I go through....
Except not really.
Hehehe I bought stuff for my new apartment today! I can't wait to be all moved in... On Wednesday my oh so wonderful father is coming up and he and whoever else I can convince (run for cover!) are going to help me move my stuff.
It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have to remove the door of my apartment to get that couch out.
Oh well...
This weekend I am going down to Portland to visit the family. Tyson's going to be there! I can't wait - I miss my Modesto people :(
Ok this update is looking extremely bloggish... How very unJulialike...
I need to do something about that...
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
An Ode to the U District
Every morning I wake up
To a not so sunny day
While many are just going to bed
Home from the many "partay"s
Oh the urine on the street corners
The throw up on the doors
Drunken students fast asleep
Along the building floors
Oh the nights I've lied awake
Listening to the bed
Of someone having too much fun
In the room above my head
And let us not forgot
Those lovely street conditions
With broken glass along the way
From a beer throwing competition
I'd love to say how much I'll miss it
That silly U district of mine
But let's be honest for just one moment
And realize that this move is about time!
