I'd apologize for never updating, but I don't really feel like it at the moment.
So there.
Anywho... not much has happened... It's true - I didn't even get engaged (if you don't count that marriage-annulment thing in Vegas). It's been pretty boring.
I went to a friend from high school's wedding on Saturday. Saw a bunch of people from my pre-college days. Creepy...
Ok so this morning, I came into work to find my coworkers freaking out. They looked at me with very depressed faces, which prompted a "how's it going guys?" out of me. They both looked at me very sadly and informed me that the entire archive list had somehow been erased over the weekend.
Now this is a very bad thing. This list is how we track what files are coming in and out and who they have been assigned to. It's a giant excel sheet, and a second copy hasn't been saved since November 1. (You'd think they would back it up somewhere...) Several hundred files have been assigned since then.
This worried me knowing full well that I was most likely the last person to have accessed the archive list.
They explained to me that somehow all the files except for one specialist's had been deleted off the list. They had been working for an hour and a half searching through all the emails sent to fill it out again.
Then I paused. A call had come in late friday night from one of this specialist's people. I had used excel to sort out only her files to find out the archive number for this person.
Remembering this, I walked over to the computer and changed the Excel view settings to show all of the files (which were never deleted).
They both looked like they were about to cry having wasted most of the morning. What can I say? It never really occured to me that neither of them knew how to use Excel.
My bad...
